Opinion: Lars Ulrich was right about Napster/P2P, just the wrong vessel for the message
In the early 2000s, Napster, KaZaa, Limewire, AudioGalaxy, BearShare and so many more illegal p2p file-sharing services were prominent - it resulted in Lars Ulrich from Metallica and the band themselves by proxy becoming the spearhead for the fight to bring the services down. They were successful and the services shut down due to not having the legal right to make copyrighted materials available, but who is to blame for what happened after all that?
