Australian release of the year so far.

It was a performance so tight you could sew pockets in it and have it pose as a pair of Russell Brand’s pants.

The encore Stagger Lee put enough motherfuckin’ bullets in enough motherfuckin’ heads to send us home happy.

It’s hard to fault this album. Jade Diary’s debut is something Perth, and Australia, should be proud of.

Somewhere Else is more than a sign of things to come; it’s a very good record on its own merits, just one that will hopefully be eclipsed by future efforts.

Next time there might be a true middle ground for Co-Pilgrim to rise from, but for now A Fairer Sea, like much of its narrative, remains lost in the wilderness.
