Live Review: CANT SAY LIVE MIX: Wednesday The Rat [FREE DOWNLOAD]

Hailing from the jungles of Borneo, WEDNESDAY THE RAT left the comfort of his bamboo hut for Melbourne, where the girls are twice as rich & half as tanned.

WEDNESDAYTHERAT-SET-1Hailing from the jungles of Borneo, Dylan Tainsh a.k.a WEDNESDAY THE RAT left the comfort of his bamboo hut for the grey skies of Melbourne, Where the girls are twice as rich and half as tanned.

Flash forward to the ripe old age of 16, long after he has discovered the stereotypes portrayed in The Simpsons episode 'Bart vs. Australia' were more or less false, and WEDNESDAY is nursing a colossal infatuation with basketball and its associative hip hop scene.

It was the love for these paired cultures that pushed him to first begin producing, with the aims of creating beats and instrumentals worthy of his idols.

From these modest beginnings, natural progression has seen WEDNESDAY not only taking a shine to the decks, but spend countless hours honing and refining his production skills to a (dare we say it) world class level. With an ear for the peculiar and a hunger for unfamiliar sounds, the Melbourne based producer is no stranger to the ever growing dance scene.

At 21 years old he has already appeared on bills alongside names like Boys Noize, Skrillex, Malente, Yolanda Be Cool and Light Year, featured on the Australian Festival circuit as well as being welcomed to Ajax’s Sweat It Out family on the 'Mega Club Sweat' compilation, having his debut EP on Vicious Bitch "Benou/Odd Cougar" receive support from the likes of Crookers, Astronomar, Rogerseventytwo, Tony Sengore and a handful of others.

The time has come to put your ears on alert for this humble boy from the jungle!
