What is truly impressive is that Kean and cast have made this motley and unsettling collection of antagonists so riveting to watch.

Director Todd Phillips still has a strong visual sense and a flair for the odd outrageous moment but the cast members seem to be going through the motions with one eye on the clock. As a result, it’s not so much a celebration as... well, an obligation.

There's little wonder why we made CHVRCHES one of our 'Artists To Watch In 2013', the band have just dropped their new single 'Gun' and it's sounding huge.

Bobby Womack and his unquestionably eye-catching ensemble were undoubtedly the sun around which the whole event gravitated.

Without any supports, things were all over too quickly, however, the always stoked front-guy Morgan Anthony, clearly appreciative of the local support, along with the rest of the band looked pretty hungry to get out and about on tour.

It may not have been built for them, but Kraftwerk sure made the Opera House theirs.

Although half the audience was left outside, unable to get into the studio much to their dismay, the packed crowd at the main stage compensated for this, violently convulsing their bodies to the airy remixes.
