Possibly your new favourite band.

Not since 2003’s Sing The Sorrow have AFI produced such a captivating record.

There is atmosphere, and elegance to every frame of Prisoners. It isn’t amazing, but it is strong, memorable and gorgeous.

Ralph Myers’ bare set (barely more than a piano) highlights Hamlet’s role in the construction of this world, and small flourishes – a bloody potpourri accumulating slowly – stand out starkly.
