Purveyors of heavy fusion and rock Twelve Foot Ninja have levelled up yet again in the lead up to the release of their third album, teaming up with the incredible Tatiana Shmayluk of Ukrainian metallers Jinjer.

Fresh off releasing their brutally beautiful fourth album Wallflowers back in August, Jinjer are a band entirely well-versed in injecting fresh and unexpected elements into their heavy arsenal, making the team-up between Shmayluk and Twelve Foot Ninja a match made in fusion heaven - a fact that Twelve Foot frontman Kin Etik echoed in the announcement today.

"The song is an ode to the complicated relationship we have with our own mortality and how death can seem like the arms of a lover beckoning us to an early demise," Etik explained.

"We wanted someone who could represent the lyric ‘the devil in my blood’ – both the darkness and the light. Tatiana embodies what we needed for this track perfectly so asking her to feature on it was a no brainer.

"Her band Jinjer and Twelve Foot Ninja have played together a number of times and we instantly connected the first time we met in the Ukraine capital Kyiv. We’ve since come to respect Tatiana as a musician and as a human so we’re stoked she’s agreed to jump on this track."

With their previous album Outlier hitting #1 on Australia's Independent Records Album Chart amid finding new fans all over the globe, the lead-up to the release of Twelve Foot Ninja's new album VENGEANCE on Friday 15 October is shaping up to be a barn-burner of heavy delights - and the collab with Shmayluk is further testament to the group's burgeoning profile on the heavy world stage.

"When the TFN guys asked me to feature on one of their new tracks, I immediately said yes without even hearing it!" Shmayluk said.

"The song and video were a lot of fun and very different from anything I’ve done with Jinjer…it’s a great pleasure to be an honorary member of the Twelve Foot Ninja clan now!"
