Aussie rockers ICEHOUSE’s upcoming tour, celebrating the 40th anniversary of their beloved album, Man of Colours, has been met with extraordinary demand.

Their Melbourne show has already sold out, and all other dates are selling fast. To meet demand, organisers have expanded to Hobart’s MyState Bank Arena on Saturday, 31 July, a second night at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on Friday, 7 August, and a new date at Sydney’s TikTok Entertainment Centre on Saturday, 14 August.

Tickets to the newly announced shows go on sale at 12 pm today, with the ICEHOUSE fan pre-sale now open. Some $99.90 tickets will be available for the new shows, spread across the best seats in each venue. Head to the TEG Live website for more details.

In addition to announcing new shows, ICEHOUSE have revealed that their close friends, Baby Animals’ Suze DeMarchi and Michael Paynter (Jimmy Barnes, Jesus Christ Superstar, Whispering Jack: The John Farnham Musical), have joined the tour as featured artists on all dates. The tour’s opening acts will be announced in 2027.

“I’m so excited to be joining ICEHOUSE for the Man Of Colours 40th anniversary tour,” Suze DeMarchi said.

She continued, “Iva’s music has been a big influence on us all, and I’ve been a fan since the ‘Flowers’ days and played that cassette in my little green Toyota Corolla KE20 until it was chewed up and spat out!! I hope to see all of you out there for this very special album.”

Michael Paynter added, “When I joined ICEHOUSE in 2011, my life and career changed immediately. Little did I know that 15 years later, they would have become my dear family. It is so incredible to be back on the stage with Iva and the gang. I can’t wait to lend my voice to some new surprises and just to be part of performing these great classics again. See you on the road!”

Man of Colours was released in September 1987 and marked ICEHOUSE’s fifth studio album. It reached #1 in Australia and New Zealand, spending eleven weeks at the top of the Australian album chart. To date, the album has sold over one million copies.

The album features five of ICEHOUSE’s most well-known tracks, including Crazy, Electric Blue, My Obsession, Nothing Too Serious, and the title track. Crazy and Electric Blue also found success in the US, peaking at #7 and #14, respectively.

“The band and I are excited to be celebrating the Man of Colours anniversary with you all,” remarked ICEHOUSE frontman Iva Davies. “We’ve never played some of the songs from the album, so this tour is going to include some firsts for us as well as our fans.”

He continued, “These seated, indoor shows are going to be different for the band and the audiences too. Compared to the big outdoor shows we’ve mainly been playing over the past 15 years, indoors means we get to play more songs and create an even bigger show for us all.

“These are going to be very, very special shows in celebration of our best-known album, its songs and the fans who’ve made it a part of their lives over the past 40 years. See you there!”
