Big Day Out's headliners struggle through Manchester date
The Killers have had to postpone two Manchester shows after singer Brandon Flowers claimed that his voice had 'gone'.
According to the Manchester Evening News the band played through four songs at Manchester Arena on Tuesday before Flowers pulled the plug, promising to reschedule the shows. The band were due to play Wednesday as well (tomorrow morning, Australian time) but that show has also been postponed.
Evening News reported Katherine Vine said, “After the third song, Smile Like You Mean It, Brandon said that his voice had gone and that he had a Chinese remedy drink so he would take that. They started the fourth song but he didn't sing a lot of it and was motioning to the rest of the band that he could not carry on.”
The band issued a statement to fans that read, “Manchester, we started something we couldn't finish and we're so, so sorry. Working on rescheduling tonight and tomorrow's shows. Will let you know new dates ASAP.”

The venue said that the band hoped to reschedule within 48 hours for dates in the new year.
The Killers are set to headline Australia's Big Day Out festival on the back of new album Battle Born. A Big Day Out representative has not responded immediately to theMusic.com.au's request for comment, but it is not believed that their Australian appearances will be jeopardised in any form.
