Shannon NollShannon Noll's management have issued a statement in response to the singer not showing for a scheduled court appearance on Friday after he was arrested for allegedly assaulting a bouncer outside a strip club.
"Shannon not appearing in Adelaide today was under the advice and assurance that it would be a simple adjournment," the 41-year-old's management said in a statement posted to Facebook last night.
"Shannon and his management had originally planned to attend but were informed they were not required to."
According to News Corp, Noll's lawyer yesterday asked his absence be excused from Adelaide Magistrates Court.
"Mr Noll is not present," defence lawyer Andrew Ey said.
"Obviously he resides and works interstate. I ask your honour to excuse his non-attendance today."
Magistrate Rodney Oates reportedly approved Noll's absence but insisted he show for a pre-trial conference in April.
"I will excuse his non-attendance today but he needs to be here next time," Oates said.
Noll was charged with one count of basic assault after he allegedly punched a bouncer for being denied entry at the Crazy Horse strip club.
