After a successful inaugural event last year, Triple M Fest returns this Grand Final Eve Eve on Thursday, 24 September. And this time, it’s going into the night.

British alternative rockers Bush – heading to Australia for a massive co-headline arena tour with Shinedown – will headline Triple M’s live music event at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel, where they’ll be joined by homegrown icons You Am I and The Superjesus.

Throughout a stacked day of entertainment, starting from the morning and extending into the evening, Triple M Fest will feature live radio, live music, and some of the radio station’s biggest names.

The day begins with the breakfast show, Mick in the Morning with Roo, Titus & Rosie, who will broadcast from the Corner Hotel from 6 am. The Superjesus appear during the breakfast show for a special early morning performance.

AFL fans will be stoked with the rollout of the day, with Deadset Legends starring Kate McCarthy, Xander McGuire and Isaac Smith to follow the breakfast show, as well as a special edition of The Grand Final Rub with Dale DaisyThomas and Jack Heverin.

The ever-popular show, The Rush Hour with JB & Billy, then takes over the Drive segment, with You Am I performing before Bush’s headline gig at night.

To win tickets to Triple M Fest, tune in to 105.1 Triple M in Melbourne and follow the prompts, or register to win via the radio station’s website.

Jay Mueller, 105.1 Triple M Melbourne Content Director, said of this year’s event, “Triple M Fest is exactly what Grand Final week in Melbourne should sound like – great footy chat, live music, and the biggest personalities coming together in one place.

“With Bush, The Superjesus, and You Am I performing, and our biggest shows broadcasting live from the Corner Hotel, it’s going to be an awesome way to celebrate Grand Final weekend.”

Bush released their most recent album, I Beat Loneliness, last year. Frontman Gavin Rossdale told The Music’s Tyler Jenke of his aims as a songwriter:

When somebody writes a song that you connect to emotionally, you cease to feel alone. You feel understood, you feel seen, and you feel connected with. That’s the magic of music; that’s the magic of words and all that for me, and so I just distilled that information [for this album] really.
