RadioheadAre Radiohead gearing up to announce an Australian tour? They just might be, with mysterious flyers designed by the band’s frequent collaborator, Stanley Donwood, located in Melbourne and Fremantle.
Fans of the beloved British band took to r/radiohead on Tuesday (1 September) to share photos of flyers. The first was reportedly found outside a café on Lygon Street, Carlton, while another was spotted at Readings, which sells books and vinyl, also in Carlton.
Another flyer was reportedly found at a record store in Abbotsford, while the Fitzroy-based record store Happy Valley said they “have a few left.”
The flyers found in Melbourne have a QR code on the back, leading to a sign-up page on Radiohead’s official website, W.A.S.T.E. Headquarters. The QR code goes to https://www.wasteheadquarters.com/2027-1c43ive-melbourne.

Gavin Leigh Davis, a self-proclaimed live music addict who shares alleged tour and music industry leaks on Instagram, also drummed up excitement in recent weeks by posting that Radiohead would tour Australia in 2027.
Commenting on his most recent post, a punter from Western Australia shared a photo of a flyer they said they found at the Fremantle Arts Centre.
While flyers appearing in two cities don’t equal an official tour announcement, it’s how Radiohead started promoting their limited run of shows across Europe and the UK last year.
Plus, other materials like the ones found in Australia have been spotted in Tokyo, Japan, leading to speculation that 2027 could include tour dates in both countries.
In March, the band’s guitarist and backing vocalist, Ed O’Brien, admitted to Rolling Stone that Radiohead don’t have plans to tour this year, but he said they’ll return to the road in 2027. They also plan to visit different continents, including Asia/Oceania.
Discussing his forthcoming solo album, Blue Morpho, the follow-up to 2020’s Earth, O’Brien also stated that Radiohead will “definitely” tour in 2027, following a run of successful comeback gigs in Europe and the UK last year.
“It’s definitely happening,” O’Brien said after being asked if Radiohead were planning more shows. “What we’re going to do is, every year we’re going to do a different continent, and we’re going to do 20 shows a year. No more, no less.”
Adding that Radiohead “won’t do anything this year, but we’ll do something next year,” O’Brien told Rolling Stone that the band plans to visit North America, South America, and Asia/Oceania.
He continued, “We want to give absolutely everything each night,” and that’s the driving motivator behind playing 20 shows a year. “We do not ever want it to be like we’re going through the motions or we’re having to run on empty. We’ve got to be able to do it. And you know what? We’re not spring chickens anymore.”
Radiohead last toured Australia in 2012 – in support of their 2011 album, The King Of Limbs. However, lead singer and multi-instrumentalist Thom Yorke visited Australia for a solo tour in 2024, where he debuted material from a new collaborative album with Mark Pritchard.
