Queensland to enter stage three of eased restrictions.

Live music venues throughout Queensland will be able to reopen this week.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has confirmed at a press conference today that the state will enter stage three of eased COVID restrictions which includes concert and theatre venues allowed to operate with 50% capacity from midday this Friday.

The news comes ahead of the Cabin Fever Festival at stalwart Brisbane venue The Triffid from 10 July, which will see performances from the likes of Bernard Fanning, Dami Im, Troy Cassar-Daley, The Tea Party's Jeff Martin and Hatchie.

Meanwhile, Palaszczuk has confirmed that "anyone who travels from Victoria – including Queenslanders – will be prevented from entering Queensland unless they complete 14 days of hotel quarantine at their own expense" due to the increase in COVID cases in Victoria.

From 10 July, Queensland's borders will open to travellers from other states and territories who have not been in Victoria.

"Can I just urge all Queenslanders, this is very serious. Please do not go to Victoria," Palaszczuk said.

"Stay in Queensland."
