British rockers Pulp have announced plans to reunite for a string of shows in 2011, including the U.K.'s Wireless Festival on July 3 and Spain's Primavera Sound Festival on May 27. Pulp formed in 1978 and broke up in 2002 releasing a total of seven studio albums.

The band released the following statement:

"Pulp have decided to get together and play some concerts next summer. The shows will involve all the original members of the band and they will be playing songs from all periods of their career. Yes, that means they'll be playing your favorites."

The upcoming shows will be the first time the band's original lineup have been on stage together since 1996.
