Mac DeMarco Has Launched His Own Record Label

Canadian artist Mac DeMarco has today announced the launch of his very own record label, Mac's Record Label, to be distributed globally by Caroline. 

DeMarco said of the news in a statement, "Hi, it's Mac. We're starting a record label; it's called 'Mac's Record Label.’ My friend Jen who plays drums in The Courtneys gave me the name." 

Spunk Records and Caroline Australia previously released the British Columbia-born songwriter's first four albums, Rock & Roll Nightclub, 2, Salad Days and Another One. 

To coincide with the label news, DeMarco will also embark on his first-ever solo tour throughout the US and Europe starting this October.
