It’s official: Kylie Minogue is back with her first new song since releasing her era-defining album, Tension, last year.

Featuring American singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha and Swedish singer-songwriter Tove Lo, My Oh My has a banging bass line and playful lyrics about star signs. It was produced by Steve Mac (Calvin Harris, Little Mix, Ed Sheeran, One Direction, P!nk).

In her verse, Minogue sings, “When you asked, ‘What’s your name?’ / ‘What’s your sign?’ I’m Kylie, it’s Gemini”. The song is the ultimate summer banger, conjuring those carefree vibes even in the middle of Australian winter.

Minogue is expected to premiere the song for the first time this Saturday (13 July) as she headlines BST Hyde Park for her first UK show of the year. You can listen to the track below.

My Oh My has been teased all week, with Minogue kicking things off on Monday (8 July), sharing a photo of a pink silk fabric with a link to pre-save something new on her Instagram Stories. The pre-save link notably had stickers of the Scorpio, Gemini and Virgo star sign emojis.

The trio ramped up the teasing on Wednesday (10 July) when Minogue, Rexha and Lo posted videos of themselves dialling “606” and saying “Hi” upon picking up the phone.

In 2024, Minogue was honoured with her own Barbie doll, received the Global Icon Award at this year’s BRIT Awards, and won her second-ever Grammy Award (Best Pop Performance for Padam Padam). She also collaborated with fellow Australian pop music icon Sia.

Last month, she dropped an unexpected collab with alt-country icon Orville Peck, and reports surfaced that she’d signed a seven-figure deal with Netflix for a “fly on the wall” documentary.

Back in April, sources told The Sun that Minogue was working on a “full-on dance album” following Tension, which debuted at #1 in Australia last September.

Tension is Minogue’s eighth #1 album in Australia, following 2000’s Light Years, 2001’s Feverin 2007, Kiss Me Once in 2014, Golden in 2018, Step Back In Time: The Definitive Collection in 2019 and Disco in 2020.
