It’s the news that every fan of ‘00s-era Aussie rock dreamed of, but Kisschasy are officially back with new music.
Having initially waved goodbye with a farewell tour in 2015, Kisschasy’s legacy seemed certain to end with the release of their third album, 2009’s Seizures.
However, in 2022, the band’s reunion and appearance on the Good Things lineup led to further shows since, with the group set to hit the stage this June to celebrate the 18th anniversary of their second album, Hymns For The Nonbeliever.
While those tour dates are fast-approaching, the band will now have one foot in the past and one in the future, with Kisschasy set to release their first new single in 16 years this month.
Titled Lie To Me, the band have announced that the forthcoming single will be available on May 23rd – just one week before a one-off headline show at Singing Bird Studios in Frankston on May 30th.
Though no further information has been announced about the single so far (however, a preview clip indicates its a strong continuation of the band’s Seizures era, as one might expect), Kisschasy have been teasing new music for some time, including telling fans that their new single is also their first time in a recording studio at all since 2009.

While it remains to be seen if this may be the first taste of a long-awaited fourth album from Kisschasy, tickets to the band’s forthcoming tour are on sale now, where they’ll likely be popping it into the live set.
