Karnivool Add Extra Show To 2026 Australian Tour

Extraordinary demand for tickets to Karnivool's 'In Verses' tour, presented by The Music, has led to an extra show in the band's home city of Perth.

Karnivool may regularly tour in Australia, but their recently announced In Verses tour – their first promoting new material in over a decade – has been met with extraordinary demand.

Tour promoters Destroy All Lines have indicated that pre-sale tickets are selling out fast across the board, but when the pre-sale allocation was exhausted in a matter of hours for the band’s hometown show in Perth, another show had to be added to the itinerary. Karnivool will now perform for two nights at Perth’s Ice Cream Factory, with the second show on Sunday, 19 July.

Pre-sale tickets for all shows are now available, aside from the first Ice Cream Factory date on Saturday, 18 July. The general sale commences tomorrow at 9 am local time. You can find more ticketing information on the Destroy All Lines website.

Karnivool are touring in support of their newly released fourth album, In Verses, which dropped in February. The long-awaited follow-up to 2013’s Asymmetry debuted at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, becoming the first local release to do so in 2026. It also topped the Australian Albums Chart and the Vinyl Chart.

For their upcoming run across Australia, the local legends will be joined by a roster of impressive international support bands: metal pioneers TesseracT, hailing from the UK, and New York’s innovative hardcore outfit Car Bomb, making their Australian debut.

In a recent interview with The Music, Karnivool vocalist Ian Kenny and guitarist Drew Goddard explained that the band felt like they’d “had a win” with the long-awaited release of In Verses.

“Everyone feels like we've had a win. I think everyone’s still finding some really beautiful stuff in this record; it’s still feeling very new to us,” Kenny said.

He added, “There’s still a lot more to explore when we play some of this stuff live; I think everyone’s a bit itchy for that. So, it’s a good place to be for us. The other side of this record is feeling great.”

In the interview, he also hinted that the band were planning on coming home to promote In Verses in, you guessed it, July.

“It’s in the works,” Kenny told The Music. “We’re in India in February, then we’re back in Europe in April-May. We’d love to get out mid-year. So, July would be great if we could get out somewhere and do some big rooms and showcase more of the record.”
