KarnivoolKarnivool are coming home. This July, Perth’s finest will embark on a massive tour across the country—confirming the biggest headline shows of their career. Fans will bear witness as the band takes their ARIA #1 album, In Verses, their first in thirteen years, on the road.

From there, the shows continue at Adelaide’s AEC Theatre on Tuesday, 21 July, Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Thursday, 23 July, Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on Friday, 24 July, and conclude at Brisbane’s Riverstage on Saturday, 25 July.

It’s been over a decade since Karnivool toured in support of a new album. While they’ve played plenty of shows across the globe since the release of 2013’s Asymmetry, this tour will mark the first time Australian fans will get to hear many newer songs.
In Verses is another heavy, progressive metal masterpiece that stunned Karnivool’s eternally devoted fans and music critics alike. The meticulous, richly layered release isn’t filled with viral moments, but that didn’t stop it from debuting at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, becoming the first local release to do so in 2026. It also topped the Australian Albums Chart and the Vinyl Chart.
“We can’t believe it. After 13 years of waiting, it’s bloody lovely not to be forgotten, and at such a wild time for music to get a #1 record is pretty amazing,” the band said of hitting #1 on their home country’s album chart.
They continued, “Karnivool as a band has never followed a conventional path, God knows we aren’t even on TikTok, and this album is on our own label [Cymatic Records] through our friends at Sony. So, we will raise a glass to our fans, families, [producer] Forrester [Savell] and our friends who worked on the record, and anyone who walks their own path. See you at a show.”
In a recent interview with The Music, Karnivool vocalist Ian Kenny and guitarist Drew Goddard explained that the band felt like they’d “had a win” with the long-awaited release of In Verses.
“Everyone feels like we've had a win. I think everyone’s still finding some really beautiful stuff in this record; it’s still feeling very new to us,” Kenny said.
He added, “There’s still a lot more to explore when we play some of this stuff live; I think everyone’s a bit itchy for that. So, it’s a good place to be for us. The other side of this record is feeling great.”
In the interview, he also hinted that the band were planning on coming home to promote In Verses in, you guessed it, July.
“It’s in the works,” Kenny told The Music. “We’re in India in February, then we’re back in Europe in April-May. We’d love to get out mid-year. So, July would be great if we could get out somewhere and do some big rooms and showcase more of the record.”
