EYE ON THE CHARTS

We have a new number one in the singles/EP independent labels through independent distribution chart. Recent Australia's Got Talent performers Uncle Jed dismantled Sheppard from the top spot with Give Me Love (Independent/Vitamin Records) - a cover of Ed Sheeran's hit. The family trio also scored the number two position with their version of Matt Corby's Brother (Independent/Vitamin Records).

Sheppard's self-titled EP (Independent/MGM) was bumped down to five, while returning indie darlings The Jezabels debuted at three with their new anthem The End (Independent/MGM). Hip hop duo Horrorshow also had a first-time entry in this week's chart via their track Dead Star Shine (Elefant Traks/Inertia).

Speaking of Horrorshow, their latest album King Amongst Many (Elefant Traks/Inertia) reclaimed the top spot in the albums independent labels through independent distribution chart. The record first debuted at number one back in August. This pushed labelmate and last week's number one Jimblah down to 11 with his LP Phoenix (Elefant Traks/Inertia).

Debuts this week included Sydney all-rounder Kid Mac with his release Head Noise (Independent/MGM) claiming second spot, while returning singer-songwriter Alex Lloyd enjoyed a strong debut at six with his new record Urban Wilderness (Table Music/MGM). Melbourne rapper Tornts scored a first-time entry via his Street Visions (Broken Tooth Entertainment/Independent) LP, which came in at 13.
