Australian punk rockers 28 Days are continuing their 30th-anniversary celebrations, today announcing an expansion of their current tour.

Last month, the band embarked on a sold-out, hyped-up tour in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Adelaide. Along with the tour, they released their seminal 2000 record, Upstyledown, on vinyl for the first time, immediately reaching #3 on the ARIA Vinyl Chart.

In October, 28 Days are going regional. The tour begins in Victoria, with shows at the Torquay Hotel and Frankston’s Pelly Bar on Friday, 2 and Saturday, 3 October, respectively.

The tour continues at Cairns’ Edge Hill Tavern on Thursday, 8 October, Townsville’s The Warehouse – where they’re performing alongside Eskimo Joe – on Friday, 9 October, Airlie Beach’s Magnums on Saturday, 10 October, Duncraig’s The Carine on Thursday, 15 October, Perth’s Amplifier Bar on Friday, 16 October, the Dunsborough Tavern on Saturday, 17 October, and concludes at the Forth Pub, Tasmania, on Friday, 23 October.

Pre-sale tickets will be available on Wednesday, 8 July, at 10 am local time, followed by the general sale on Thursday, 9 July, at 10 am local time. You can find more ticketing information on the Teamwrk Touring website.

With a press release noting that the 30th anniversary tour “isn’t about nostalgia for the sake of it,” 28 Days are celebrating three decades of standing the test of time and doing things their way.

From their humble beginnings hanging out at a Frankston skate park in the late ‘90s, 28 Days carved their own space in Australian music thanks to their brand of energetic rap-metal.

Their breakthrough second album, Upstyledown, landed at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart in 2000 and subsequently went Platinum. The record was bolstered by the mosh-ready hit singles Rip It Up, Say What?, and Sucker, songs that have become part of Australia’s cultural DNA.

Another two albums, two EPs, and singles followed, with the band’s most recent single, Unmarked Graves, released in 2015.
