The indie duo decides to steer clear of pleasing everyone.
Indie duo Gypsy & The Cat have admitted they “don't care” if a lot of people aren't into their new music, as long as album-buying fans stick by them.
One half of the duo, Xavier Bacash told The Drum Media in a recent interview that they don't make music to please everyone, particularly fans who only know their singles. The mentality played a large part in the recording of new effort The Late Blue.

We think it's progressed a hell of a lot, so things were getting a bit weird and then I started to feel maybe a bit of pressure in the sense of, if people can understand this.”
In the end, the guys decided they didn't need to carry every fan from their debut.
