Robbie WilliamsCelebrated Australian designer Camilla Franks has revealed details of her experience working with popstar Robbie Williams on the pair's new fashion collection.
Speaking to the Courier Mail the designer reveals that she had to focus on keeping it together when Williams attended their first zoom half-dressed.
"I remember our first Zoom meeting he answered the phone topless with a doona covering the bottom half, so trying to keep it together was interesting. I had to, sort of, remain professional.”
Franks, who Williams has openly supported in the past by wearing her designs, has created a capsule collection with Williams consisting of four prints that embody details of Wiliams's life.
The prints feature a red lion symbolizing the pub where he was born, angels to represent his monster hit 'Angels', his children's names, lyrics from his songs and images inspired by his tattoos.
Despite working with Williams extensively on the collection, Franks revealed that it was still a thrill to see Williams sport one of her creations on-stage at a recent Melbourne concert.
"I saw him recently, we were in Melbourne with him, he was on stage performing and he went back stage and got changed and came out in our hand-embellished bomber (jacket), and he pointed to me and said 'I'm wearing my favourite designer, Camilla, and I just had tears of joy.” “We’ve worked so hard for the last two years on this collection so to see it finally come alive was amazing.”

There is set to be more tears of joy to come for Franks, as Williams is hotly tipped to wear an item from the collection during his performance at the AFL Grand Final in late September.
The English singer will headline the pre-game entertainment, noting, "I am so excited to be performing for you, on the hallowed turf of the MCG.”
Williams also stated that he would be joined by a “cast of local Australian talent”, handpicking some local musos to play in his band during the performance.
The singer allegedly rebuffed an offer of $1 million to perform three songs at the 2014 AFL Grand Final, with reports citing his busy schedule as the reason a deal couldn’t be struck.
Williams has been spending quite a bit of time in Australia as of late around the production of his biopic, Better Man.
One of the largest ever movies to film on location in Melbourne, Better Man saw Williams perform two headline shows at Rod Laver in April, footage from which will be used in the film.
Frontier Touring noted: “Select performances from the night will be filmed for inclusion in the biopic, so fans are encouraged to raid the back of the wardrobe and come dressed in their best ‘90s concert-going outfit.”
Better Man is being directed and co-written by Victorian filmmaker Michael Gracey.
