Bluesfest Release Final Figures & Homebake Want Your Help

Two of Australia's big festivals have made announcements today.

More Bluesfest Bluesfest

With the dust settled from the 24th annual Bluesfest which was held over Easter in Tyagarah, the team behind the event have today issued some figures that show the true enormoity of the event.

The confirmed total number of revellers was this year a whopping 104,244 people over the five days, which resulted in 19,000 coffees served, 28.24 tonnes of recycling collected and over $120,000 raised for charity.

The charity takings included 44 Orangutans adopted from The Orangutan Project, over $50,000 for Cystic Fibrosis and music related charities Playing For Change and Thin Green Line raising over $20,000.

While 2013 was hugely successful, what is perhaps even more encouraging is the fact that there have already been around 6,000 tickets sold for the 2014 event, over a year before it takes place!

In other festival news, the Homebake team are looking for some feedback from their fans (and naysayers) as they move forward, garnering some feedback from past years' events and trying to figure out what it is that people want out of festivals in 2013.

The survey, which they say will take around 15 minutes, can be undertaken here.

Homebake celebrates its 18th year in 2013 and they say plans are coming along nicely.
