After touring across Australia, the UK and the US, pulling crowds wherever they went, The Saints ’73-’78 are coming home for a massive summer tour.

Featuring original members of The Saints, Ed Kuepper and Ivor Hay, plus Mick Harvey, Peter Oxley and Mark Arm – the recruited all-star members of The Birthday Party / Bad Seeds, Sunnyboys and Mudhoney – this is a version of The Saints that’s received global acclaim.

50 years on from (I’m) Stranded, and The Saints ’73-’78 are returning to Australia to celebrate the seminal anniversary. The tour begins at Newcastle’s King St Bandroom on Thursday, 21 January.

The excitement continues at Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Friday, 22 January, Wollongong’s Waves on Saturday, 23 January, Brisbane’s The Tivoli on Friday, 29 January, the Gold Coast’s Miami Marketta on Saturday, 30 January, Perth’s Astor Theatre on Tuesday, 2 February, Barwon Heads Hotel on Thursday, 4 February, and concludes at Melbourne’s Croxton Bandroom on Friday, 5 February.

Tickets to the Australian shows will be available on Friday, 14 August, at 10 am local time via Feel Presents.

In addition to the tour, The Saints ’73-’78 are releasing a brand-new live album of the original Saints, recorded in September 1976 at Club ’76.

Recorded to cassette, the 15-track live album finds the band performing much of (I’m) Stranded, plus a bunch of tracks that would later appear on the follow-up album, Eternally Yours, plus a handful of covers.

The Saints: Live @ Club ’76, Brisbane will be released on Friday, 20 November, via The Saints ’73-‘78’s website. More details will be announced soon.
