"If they are good enough for the catwalks of Milan surely they are good enough for a live music venue on a Friday night."

Aussie blues, roots and party band, 19-Twenty have addressed a music venue for not letting in punters who wore crocs.
19-Twenty performed at the Indian Ocean Hotel in Scarborough, WA, on Friday night and discussed the incident over the weekend.
"Pretty bummed to find out last night there were quite a few people denied entry into our gig @ the Indian Ocean Hotel," the band wrote on social media. While some punters weren't allowed in without valid proof of ID (even if they were older adults), the crocs were a touchy issue for 19-Twenty.
"We understand they are ugly," the band shared with a cry-laughing emoji, "but we all wear them and if they are good enough for the catwalks of Milan surely they are good enough for a live music venue on a Friday night!"
19-Twenty then called out the double standards towards other open-toed shoes, saying, "ESPECIALLY when there were quite a few ladies wearing sandals and open toed shoes!
"Some of you drove over 4 hrs for the gig and were told you couldn’t get in! What a let down. We know there are rules & regs around this in WA but it’s hard to swallow when we work our butts off to get you there and you not only invest your money but also your most precious commodity, time," the group continued.

"Once we heard, we spoke to security about this and were told at 830pm it is standard operating procedure & physical licences must be presented only then to find out the venue relaxed these rules at 930pm and that was no longer the case.. Which was obviously too late for most.. We feel let down as all we want is for you, our fans to have an absolute cracking night, when this doesn’t happen and not as a result of our doing, it sucks!"
For punters who couldn't get into the venue on Friday night, 19-Twenty encourages you to get in touch with vocalist Kane Dennelly and the band will send out a t-shirt to you.
19-Twenty are known for their infectious riffs and energy and for putting a smile on fans' faces.
