Revelation Records runs Adidas promotion
Iconic California record label Revelation Records is running a competition in which winners will receive limited edition Adidas. Ten pairs of the exclusive Rev Adidas Campus sneakers are on offer. The shoes were created to give to bands which recorded songs for the "Past Present" compilation and Rev employees. The new compilation features covers of classic songs from the Revelation back catalogue. The release features Terror, Set Your Goals, Sick Of It All, Bold, This Is Hell, Down To Nothing and others covering tracks from bands like Gorilla Biscuits, Youth Of Today, Chain Of Strength and Warzone. Revelation, along with the bands it put out in the late 1980s, is usually credited with creating and cementing the "youth crew" sound as well as early New York hardcore, which bridged the gap from the earlier bands of almost a decade before and helped carry the music through the early 1990s.
