Eastern Creek Raceway is blessed by no noise restrictions or curfews, making it a great place to have loud rock music blasting. Having already spent substantial time, effort and treasure to make improvements to the venue – adding major shade structures, plumbing to enable the addition of hundreds of free water taps and coming up with foolproof traffic management regime, Soundwave Festival and the venue operators have jointly decided that we would rather unveil the new Eastern Creek when even more additional improvements and renovations have been completed.

Byron Bay hardcore band Word Up! have decided to call it a day after their Cabin Fever release tour. A final show in Byron Bay is being announced soon.

In February 2009, The Getaway Plan shocked Australian fans and media by calling it quits just a year after the release of their smash hit debut album "Other Voices, Other Rooms". The album that spawned three radio hits and made them one of the most successful young bands in Australia, sent the band on a hectic touring schedule that included three sold out headline tours and ended with their first appearance on the Big Day Out. But that same schedule caused the young four piece to burn out, eventually deciding to pack it in and move onto other projects. Each member embarked on different paths, pursuing musical endeavors such as The Amity Affliction, Young Heretics, Deez Nuts and Hopeless, while The Getaway Plan continued to garner radio play and sales despite the bands absence. Dropkick Murphys have posted another new song from their forthcoming seventh studio album. The song "Hang 'Em High" is taken from the band's new album "Going out In Style", which will be released on March 1 through Born & Bred Records.

Californian based pop punk band The Story So Far have posted an acoustic cover of Jawbreaker's "Unlisted Track". The track is taken from Jawbreaker's 2004 album "Dear You".

Pennsylvania based pop punk band Handguns have posted another new song from their upcoming new record. The song "A Year In Review" taken from the band's new record "Don't Bite Your Tongue" can be heard here.

Darkest Hour have posted another new song from their forthcoming seventh studio album. The song "Your Everyday Disaster" is taken from the band's new album "The Human Romance", which will be released on February 22 through E1 Music.

Richmond, Virginia based hardcore band Swamp Thing have posted a new song from their forthcoming self-titled four song 7". 

Man Overboard have posted pre-orders for their new record "The Absolute Worst". The new 7" that contains two songs, the title track "The Absolute Worst", and a re-worked version of "I Saw Behemoth And It Ruled", can be pre-ordered in eight different packages on the band's MerchNOW store.

Mayday Parade have posted the new music video for their song "Get Up". "Get Up" is taken from the band's 2009 album "Anywhere But Here", which was released through Atlantic Records.
