Rise and Fall preparing to enter studio
Belgian based hardcore band Rise and Fall are set to hit the studio in May, with the band issuing a statement recently.The group is currently writing new material, with pre-production set to begin next month. Rise and Fall will enter Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou's Godcity Studio to record their fourth full-length.Subsequently, the band posted the following on Deathwish Inc's website:"We're in the process of writing a new record and contrary to past writing experiences where, unfortunately, the comparison with "some kind of monster" came to mind more than once, this time around the experience is actually an inspiring and really creative one. Together with our new drummer Wim, who is now a full time member of Rise And Fall, we have written a great deal of songs and the record is slowly coming together in our heads. Daylight signs with Run For Cover Records
Doyletown, Pennsylvania's emo quartet Daylight have been signed to Run For Cover Records, where they will release an acoustic 7". The band is currently demoing new material for an upcoming EP and are planning to release their debut full length in 2012. The label posted:"Our Doylestown, PA friends Daylight have joined the Run For Cover Roster. Many people reading this are most likely already familiar with the band, but will be relieved and excited to know that they have multiple upcoming releases planned. In the last two years Daylight have released two EPs, 2009's Sinking (Get This Right Records), and 2010's Dispirit 7″ (Six Feet Under Records) which both contained introspective blasts of aggressive emo, remaining loud and depressing throughout.
