Only a day after the departure of their drummer Mark Garza, The Famine have announced that they will be breaking up. The band's vocalist Nick Nowell posted the following: "The Famine never should have existed. I don't mean that like when a jealous brother screams 'I wish you were never born!' at his little sister. What I mean is that we came together as a group of married thirty-somethings with kids and small businesses. Our singer lived on the other side of the country. It was a cumbersome proposition, but we made it work. Most of you are familiar with the fire that claimed most of our equipment and the departure of our vocalist about a year ago. Plain White T's have posted the new music video for their track "Boomerang". The song is taken from the band's sixth full-length album "Wonders Of The Younger", which was released in December last year through Hollywood Records.

RX Bandits have announced plans to end the band after their run of summer tours. RX Bandits formed out of Orange County, California, in 1995, and released six full-length records ending with 2009's 'Mandala.'

The line-up for 2011's Splendour in the Grass festival has been announced, with huge names like Coldplay, Kanye West and Jane's Addiction gracing the bill. Other bands announced include The Hives, The Living End, The Mars Volta, Regina Spektor, Bliss N Eso, The Grates, Modest Mouse, Eskimo Joe and many, many more. The event will be held over three days at Woodford in Queensland, between Friday 29 of July to Sunday 21. Tickets go on sale 9am Thursday May 5.
