The Offspring almost done recording new album
After months of speculation, The Offspring are apparently getting close to finishing up their hugely anticipated new album, which would be their first since 2008's "Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace". Dexter Holland and Noodles say so in this 35-minute podcast, where they (along with special guest, competitive eating champion Takeru Kobayashi) talk mostly about the Gringo Bandito Taco Challenge happening this Wednesday, August 3 in Huntington Beach. They also talk about the making of their 1992 album "Ignition", while Noodles mentions that Guns N' Roses album "Chinese Democracy", which took many years to get made before it finally surfaced back in 2008. Coincidentally, The Offspring tried to named their 2003 album "Chinese Democracy" as apposed "Chinese Democrazy" before changing the name to "Splinter".
