Tim Lambesis and Jordan Mancino of As I Lay Dying chatted to Hot Topic about the ten year life of the band and Decas, their new release due out November 8. It will feature three new songs, covers of Slayer, Judas Priest and Descendants tunes, and remixes by the likes of Big Chocolate and Innerpartysystem. Check the interview below.

John Gomez, guitarist of Arizona rock band The Summer Set, announced on Facebook that they are currently in the studio. The band's second album Everything's Fine dropped in July, but clearly the band is already looking forward to their next release. "We spend weeks and weeks trying to write the perfect song, let out the right emotion, the right vibe. This is it, all of it, what I LOVE more then anything, not the twitter followers, or the facebook likes, just this is enough for me. Excited to show you all what we have been working on."

Hot on the heels of their debut power-pop-punk gem 'Birthmark Blues', Perth's Grim Fandango have been busy in the studio again, this time emerging with tracks for a new 7" + digital EP. Titled 'In The Rough' the two track 7" will also include a free download of 3 additional new tracks. The EP will be available digitally world-wide via iTunes/ Amazon Music. 'In The Rough' 7"/ EP is due out Jan 23rd 2012 on Poison City Records. Pre-orders for the colour vinyl version will be available from Dec 5th.

Mayday Parade have announced that they will be releasing their debut album 'A Lesson In Romantics' as a vinyl pressing. The vinyl version of the album will be released on November 21st via Fearless Records.

Driven Fear have released a new video clip for their track Growth which features on the bands new album 'Contender' being released this Friday 11/11/11.

 Green Day recently performed a new song entitled "Carpe Diem" live at the Mezzazine on November 1st in San Francisco, California. You can watch a video of the live performance below.

You Me At Six have released a music video for their song 'Bite My Tongue', taken from the band's latest studio album 'Sinners Never Sleep'. The song features a guest vocal performance from Oliver Sykes of Bring Me The Horizon.

In addition to his festival performances at Peats Ridge and Pyramid Rock over the New Year's Eve period, Jim Ward has announced that he will be performing two intimate club shows in Melbourne and Sydney. The shows will feature Ward playing material with his full band in tow this time around, in support of his new album ‘Quiet In The Valler, On The Shores, The End Begins‘.

The Maine have posted a lyric video for their new song, 'Don't Give Up On Us'. The song will be featured on their upcoming third studio album 'Pioneer', which is due for release via Action Theory and Fearless Records on December 6th.

New York hardcore outfit Backtrack have announced an Australian tour this January with Melbourne's own Iron Mind.Since their inception in 2008, Backtrack have slowly built up their reputation as a NYHC powerhouse with constant touring across the Northern Hemisphere. Holding down the tradition established by the likes of Agnostic Front and Madball, the band has only recently released their highly anticipated album "Darker Half" through Reaper Records. In January, they make their way to Australia for the first time, trekking coast-to-coast to bring a new generation of hardcore Down Under.
