Circa Survive have launched a stream of their new album "Violent Waves" onto Rolling Stone. The self-produced album will also be self-released by the band through their website on August 28.

Connecticut punk activists Hostage Calm  have announced an October 9 release for their ambitious new LP, Please Remain Calm. The album, produced by indie icon J. Robbins, will be issued via Boston’s Run For Cover Records.

Australian hardcore kids 50 Lions are preparing to enter the recording studio according to recent updates from the band.

The Melbourne and Brisbane legs of Soundwave 2013 have officially sold out organisers have reported. A simple message on the festival’s Facebook page read: “MELBOURNE SOLD OUT.” A press release also notes, that the remaining dates are not far behind the aforementioned. “The remaining states (Adelaide and Perth) are not far behind with Sydney expected to sell out soon as well!”

Popular Welsh metallers Bullet for My Valentine have unveiled a new video, which chronicles the band recording their recently completed album. Killyourstereo reported last week the finalisation of the upcoming full-length. Additionally, Bullet for My Valentine was added to Soundwave 2013 previously.

Respected melodic death metal stalwarts Soilwork are preparing to enter the recording studio, with the band suggesting they will begin work on a new studio album later this week.

Josh James, guitarist and founding member of US hardcore outfit Evergreen Terrace has left the band news reports outline. James has left Evergreen Terrace to focus on performing with Stick to Your Guns in a full-time capacity.
