System Of A DownAre System Of A Down and Faith No More finally returning to Australia? It seems so, after physical teasers appeared across the country on Friday evening (24 July).
System Of A Down murals have been spotted in the heart of the Melbourne and Sydney CBDs, respectively, as well as light projections seen in Brisbane.
The Melbourne mural is outside Melbourne Central Shopping Centre, on the La Trobe Street side, while the Sydney mural has been located on the corner of William Street and Crown Street.
Fans have spotted light projections in Brisbane and a mural in Sydney, indicating an epic East Coast tour, most likely for 2027. Check out the teasers below.

If the pair are indeed touring our shores soon, it’ll be most welcome and one of the biggest rock and metal tours to hit Australia.
System Of A Down last visited Australia in February and March 2012, when they headlined Soundwave Festival alongside Slipknot and embarked on a run of headline arena shows, where they were joined by special guests The Dillinger Escape Plan. The shows were marketed as their reunion tour.
The band have sporadically toured since their 2011 reunion, embarking on fully-fledged touring schedules since last year. Before then, they headlined the 2023 and 2024 editions of Sick New World festival in Las Vegas, played a handful of shows in 2021 and 2022, and last regularly toured in 2018.
Faith No More also last played in Australia as part of Soundwave Festival in 2015.

The group were set to tour again in 2020, with plans to touch down in Australia again, but the dates were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. More tour plans were announced in 2021, which were cancelled, as frontman Mike Patton revealed that he’d been diagnosed with agoraphobia. Patton did return to Australia in March 2024, though, fronting Mr. Bungle.
The band were scheduled to return to Australia in 2022 after twice postponing the tour. That tour was cancelled.
However, speculation about their long-awaited return arose last month when Faith No More bassist Bill Gould confirmed that the band plans to tour in 2027, including in Australia.
“We’re gonna do it,” Gould told Serbian music journalist Jadranka Janković Nešić on the Rock Talk podcast. “We’re gonna play.”
He continued, “We’re definitely going to be in Europe. We’re definitely going to be in South America, and Australia, and the US... I think probably our shows will start around like January or February next year.”
