Faith No MoreLooking at Faith No More’s social media accounts yesterday, one could assume that the band is gearing up to hit the road again in 2027 – for the first time in over a decade.
On Wednesday (17 June), the influential American rockers uploaded a photo to their social media accounts showing the year 2027 printed in large letters before an ecstatic, cheering crowd. They didn’t add a caption for the picture, but they didn’t need to.
Now, if that wasn’t enough, Faith No More’s bassist, Bill Gould, confirmed that the band do indeed plan to tour in 2027, including in Australia.
He addressed fan speculation in an interview with Serbian music journalist Jadranka Janković Nešić on the Rock Talk podcast.
“We’re gonna do it,” Gould said, per Louder Sound. “We’re gonna play.”
He continued, “We’re definitely going to be in Europe. We’re definitely going to be in South America, and Australia, and the US... I think probably our shows will start around like January or February next year.”

In addition to updating their social media, leading to rumours of a 2027 return to the stage, Pollstar reported that Faith No More had recently inked a new global touring deal with Brazilian promoter 30e.

Over the last decade, the band have been on a semi-permanent hiatus, following the release of their comeback album, Sol Invictus, in 2015. Their most recent live shows took place in 2016, and several tour cancellations followed.
Faith No More were set to tour again in 2020, with plans to touch down in Australia again, but the dates were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. More tour plans were announced in 2021, which were cancelled, as frontman Mike Patton revealed that he’d been diagnosed with agoraphobia.
The band were scheduled to return to Australia in 2022 after twice postponing the tour. That tour was cancelled.
Faith No More last performed in Australia in 2015, at Soundwave Festival. However, they haven’t played their own headline tour in the country since 1997.
