Jerry Agbinya has been named as the 2025 recipient of the Victorian Music Development Office’s (VMDO) Fast Track Fellowship program.
Agbinya, who is likely better known to music fans as his pseudonym IJALE, has been producing and creating in the music industry for years.
Working across the fields of production, mixing, engineering, songwriting, and performance, his creative output includes composition, podcasting, short film scoring, performance and sonic branding.
Working alongside names such as Beckah Amani, BOY SODA, Maina Doe, Mali Jo$e, and Dugong Jnr, Agbinya has also spent years as the Australian Audio Content Producer for triple j Unearthed, awarding him a valuable insight into the world of local music.
The VMDO’s Fast Track Fellowship aims to provide life-changing opportunities for music professionals within Victoria while also providing a way for recipients to build and develop their skills in a way that expands pathways to build global networks, international experience and professional opportunities.

As a result of his success in the fellowship, Agbinya will be based in the UK throughout July and August where he will meet with fellow producers and artists, attend industry events and establish international networks.
Delivered in partnership with the Music Producer And Engineers’ Guild Of Australia (MPEG), the Fast Track Fellowship takes place following important data featured in the MPEG’s inaugural 2023 survey, which notes how close to 45% of music producers and engineers are based in Victoria, with the Australian recording sector considered to be one of the most vital components of Australia’s vibrant music scene.
Data from the same survey also revealed that 19% of respondents have plans to work overseas with 35% revealing aspirations of an international career, though many find themselves unsure of how to make their dreams a reality.
Agbinya selection as part of the fellowship will undoubtedly go toward helping him further his creative and professional pursuits, leaving fans and supporters eager to see what comes next.
