Coachella 2027 may still feel too far away to talk about – taking place next April – but that hasn’t stopped the rumour mill from firing up.

Music industry publication Hits Daily Double reports that Tame Impala and Dua Lipa are in talks to headline the festival, while producer Fred again.. is expected to front the “Returning to the Desert” slot, which has hosted No Doubt, Calvin Harris, and others in recent years.

Hits Daily Double also claims that BTS, Oasis, SZA, and Radiohead are also artists Coachella promoters Goldenvoice are pursuing for the final headliner slot; however, the publication also notes that SZA “is way more likely” than Oasis or Radiohead.

Miley, who previously performed as Miley Cyrus, reportedly turned down the offer to headline the festival.

Consequence of Sound notes that Tame Impala have performed four times at Coachella. They headlined the Californian desert affair in 2019 and appeared on the 2015, 2023, and 2011 line-ups.

Fred again.., along with Four Tet and Skrillex, took Frank Ocean’s place as the headliner for weekend two in 2023. Meanwhile, Dua Lipa has never performed a solo set at Coachella, but she did join Martin Garrix as a guest-starring vocalist in 2017.

The line-up for this year’s Coachella was revealed on 16 September 2025. The headliners were Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G, while the festival hosted the world premiere of Anyma’s Æden in the “Returning to the Desert” slot.

Other performers who appeared on the bill included The Strokes, The xx, David Byrne, Nine Inch Noize (a collaboration between Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize), Addison Rae, Interpol, Iggy Pop, Wet Leg, Turnstile, FKA twigs, Moby, Groove Armada, sombr, Suicidal Tendencies, and many more.

Punk rockers The Chats, iPod Touch star Ninajirachi, indie rock duo Royel Otis and genre-defying singer Ecca Vandal also performed at the festival, representing Australia.
