The Dark Market

THE DARK MARKET

Not just your everday market.

Step beyond the ordinary and enter a world of oddities, alchemy and the wonderfully unusual.

This Halloween, The Dark Market takes over Deakin Waterfront Campus, Geelong, transforming it into an interactive gathering of makers, performers, curious characters and strange discoveries.

Yes, there will be incredible things to buy, but The Dark Market is about much more than shopping.

Your ticket delivers you into an experience designed to be explored. Wander through our Cabinet of Curiosities, take on The Alchemist's Quest, create something peculiar at Make Your Own Oddity Station, experiment at the Potion Making Bar, exchange something strange at The Curiosity Exchange, strike a pose in our Dark Market Photo Booth, visit the Tattoo Booth, catch a screening in our Horror Film Zone, and encounter Halloween and alchemy-inspired characters as they roam the market.

Throughout the day, discover interactive workshops, demonstrations, giveaways and unexpected experiences hidden throughout the venue.

And, of course, there are our incredible curators of the unusual.

We've summoned a carefully curated collection of independent artists, makers and merchants specialising in the unusual. Explore original art, alternative jewellery and clothing, photography, gothic and alchemy-inspired creations, curiosities, homewares, potions and botanical creations, spiritual readers and plenty of things you probably didn't know you needed until you found them.

A live DJ will provide the soundtrack while roaming performers and characters bring the market to life, with food vendors on hand when you need to refuel.
