The Big Chill Festival

BIG CHILL FESTIVAL ??The Big Chill Festival is back for its sixth year, bringing legendary vibes and unforgettable experiences to the Armidale Showground on Saturday 16 May 2026. Featuring a powerhouse lineup, including The Presets, The Jungle Giants, Meg Mac, Sneaky Sound System, Mia Wray, Pierce Brothers, No Cigar and many more.

The Big Chill is more than just music. It’s a celebration of Armidale’s vibrant local culture, showcasing award-winning craft beers, local distilleries, wineries, and gourmet food trucks. Attendees will enjoy world-renowned BBQ pitmasters smoking up a storm, interactive experiences, and cozy fire pits under the open sky.

For families, there’s a dedicated "Little Chillers" zone, a chilli-eating competition for the brave-hearted, and the cold-water Big Chilly Dip for those brave, hardy souls. Throughout the weekend, we’ll be putting Armidale’s booming creative culture front and centre, positioning the region as a go-to cool climate destination for food, drinks, and adventure. BIG CHILLY DIP ??Feel like getting fresh? (When we say fresh, we mean cold. Like, really bloody cold.) Then the Big Chilly Dip at the dreamy Dumaresq Dam on Sunday 17 May 2026 is for you! BYO swimmers, wetsuit, towel, hot water bottle, whatever you can find to keep warm alongside an upbeat, piping hot attitude. We’ll bring the bacon and egg rolls, hot cups of caffeine to purchase and cheers of support from the sidelines. Tickets on sale soon!
