SBM PresentsPURITY RING(CAN)'Place Of My Own' Australia Tour
Purity Ring return to Australia in 2026 with the ‘Place Of My Own’ tour, their first Australian shows in over a decade and a long‑awaited follow‑up to their last visit. The Canadian duo of Megan James and Corin Roddick arrive in support of their self‑titled fourth album, a bold new chapter that plays like the soundtrack to an imagined RPG.
Fans can expect euphoric, cinematic soundscapes built from vintage digital synths, classical guitar, pan flutes, breakbeats and haunted vocoders, paired with James’ unmistakable vocals. Since emerging in the early 2010s, Purity Ring have reshaped electronic pop with their self‑produced records and striking live visuals; their debut Shrines earned Pitchfork’s Best New Music and a Polaris Prize shortlist, while breakout single “Fineshrine” is RIAA Gold‑certified.
Having collaborated with artists including Danny Brown, Deftones and Black Dresses, Purity Ring now step into a world they’ve been circling for years—vast, unrestrained and uniquely theirs. ‘Place Of My Own’ gives Australian audiences a rare chance to see the duo back on local stages: an intimate, transportive evening with one of modern electronic pop’s most distinctive live acts.Purity Ring kindly requests that you wear a respirator (N95 or KN95) for the duration of the show. There will be free high-filtration masks at the door for those who don’t have them. We want our shows to be a place where we take care of each other. wearing a high-filtration mask is an act of material care and a show of solidarity with disabled and immunocompromised people. It's a small thing we can do to keep each other safe.
