Nathan CavaleriAussie rocker Nathan Cavaleri is hitting the road for a national theatre tour this year, today announcing his Growing Pains - The Nathan Cavaleri Story tour dates.
The shows will follow the musician’s incredible career, from his beginnings as a child prodigy, to facing cancer, performing on stages across the globe, and battling his mental health, making for an extraordinary journey in entertainment.
Cavaleri started playing the guitar at age 5 and continued playing after he was diagnosed with leukaemia at age 6. By 1993, he was in remission. At the age of nine, he played guitar with Dire Straits’ Mark Knopfler.
He was regarded as a child prodigy and was taught by, and later toured with, B.B. King at the age of 13.
Today, Cavaleri unveils the first announcement of an “epic” national tour, which begins at Kingston City Hall in Moorabbin on Saturday, 20 June.
From there, he’ll tour across metro and regional Australia, with locations including Mildura, Swan Hill, Pakenham, St Kilda, East Gippsland, Wonthaggi, Nunawading, Portland, Hamilton, Ararat, Warrnambool, and Taree, completing the extensive run at Avoca Beach Theatre on Saturday, 28 November.
Tickets are now available via Cavaleri’s website.
The upcoming tour has been described as “deeply personal and emotionally charged,” and will find Cavaleri open up about his career through story and song. He’ll look back on busking in Campbelltown, reaching stardom, experiencing the depths of anxiety and burnout, and eventually rediscovering his purpose and passion.

Cavaleri explained, “Reliving these experiences on stage is like nothing else. It’s a scary thing putting your heart out there and revisiting some of life’s most sensitive moments in front of a crowd, but when we’re all crying, laughing and blissing out together, it reminds me that beneath it all, we have so much in common. That’s what makes this show feel so profound and cathartic for all.”
