BANG!! 2 Winter Dayz Set To Heat Up Brisbane This Winter

Brisbane’s dance music scene is preparing for another huge afternoon to evening of classic club nostalgia as BANG!! 2 Winter Dayz – 90s Club Anthems lands at the old Tube, Prohibition Nightclub, 206 Wickham Street, Fortitude Valley, on Saturday August 22 from 3pm–9pm.

Held on the second last Saturday of winter, BANG!! 2 promises a massive celebration of classic club culture, featuring two huge rooms dedicated to the biggest dancefloor anthems of the late 80s, 90s and early 2000s.

Following the strong response to the first event, organisers are expanding the experience with bigger production, more visuals, more lighting and a stronger focus on the best dance decade of clubbing that defined a generation of Brisbane nightlife.

The Main Room will feature a high-energy soundtrack of Dance, House and Mainstream Trance classics, while Room 2 dives deeper into Rave and Trance anthems for the serious old-school club crowd.

Headlining the event is Australian dance music legend Mark Dynamix, widely regarded as one of the country’s most respected and influential DJs. Known for his iconic late-night sets, festival appearances and decades-long contribution to Australia’s dance music scene, Mark Dynamix brings a huge level of energy and credibility to the event.

Joining him is DJ Kyle, who has built a reputation for his energetic mixing style and crowd-focused sets packed with massive dance favourites. Known for his guest residencies at some of Brisbane’s most iconic nightclubs including Heaven and Viva and for delivering the kind of music that makes it impossible to stand still, DJ Kyle will keep the dancefloor pumping during his 2 hour afternoon set.

Brisbane legend, DJ Darren James joins the line-up bringing decades of club experience and a lifelong passion for uplifting House and Dance classics. A true veteran of Brisbane’s dance scene, Darren played many of the city’s iconic clubs and rave events throughout the 90s, including The Site, Soho, The Tube, Grand Orbit and Transformers. Known for his deep musical knowledge and authentic old-school club sound, Darren will deliver a high-energy set packed with classic dancefloor moments, underground spirit and unforgettable club anthems at BANG!! 2.

Peter Smith - one of the original Brisbane Wild FM crew, brings more than 30 years of experience from Brisbane’s dance music scene to BANG!! 2. Peter also held a residency at Brisbane’s legendary Met nightclub. Known for his deep love of uplifting dance, rave, trance and club culture, Peter will deliver a powerful set packed with driving beats, classic club energy and massive party anthems designed to take the dancefloor to another level.

Promoter and VJ Peter Brown will present a massive state-of-the-art visual experience featuring a 90-minute VJ set of fully remastered 90s dance video clips across multiple venue screens. The visual show will also feature splashes of late 80s club favourites and early noughties dance classics, creating an immersive retro club atmosphere throughout the venue.

Running from 3pm through until 9pm, BANG!! 2 delivers six solid hours of non-stop dancefloor energy while still getting patrons home early. The event’s “Dance from 3… Home by 9” concept has already struck a chord with Brisbane’s over-30s club crowd looking for a big party atmosphere without the all-night finish.

After 9pm, patrons are also invited to stay on and continue partying with the Prohibition crew at no extra charge.

BANG!! has quickly developed a strong reputation for bringing together Brisbane’s mature dance and club audience for an atmosphere built around nostalgia, positivity, classic club tracks and a shared love of the golden era of dance music culture.
