Nine Inch NailsNine Inch Nails have gotten fans fired up by teasing a new release, and it’s coming sooner than you think.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (15 July), the industrial music pioneers shared a teaser from their collaboration with German-Iraqi electronic music record producer Alexander “Alex” Ridha, better known as Boys Noize.
In April, the pair unveiled the collaborative album, Nine Inch Noize, capturing the songs they played during their inaugural performances at this year’s Coachella festival. The album, which went straight to streaming, features reimagined versions of Nine Inch Nails songs such as Heresy, Closer, Came Back Haunted and more.
Now, looking at the teaser, we’re presuming that a highly anticipated physical release of the Nine Inch Noize album is coming, and fans will be able to pre-order their copies from Friday, 17 July. Check out the video below.
In March, Nine Inch Nails concluded their North American Peel It Back tour, marking their first live shows since 2022.
Addressing fans during their performance in Sacramento, California, frontman Trent Reznor cleared up speculation about the band’s touring plans – namely, rumours that they wouldn’t tour anymore.

“As some of you may know, this is the last show of the tour. And to be clear, I think I said something the other day that then got misconstrued into something that is not intentionally necessarily true,” Reznor said.
He continued, “What I said was, this is the last show of this tour, and we don’t have any shows booked, and we don’t have any plans to book any shows any time in the future, so far. That doesn’t mean we may not tour again. We may tour again. It won’t be next month; it won’t be this year.”
Reznor added before the Peel It Back tour, Nine Inch Nails hadn’t toured for “a while,” because “frankly, I didn’t know if we could do it well, and if it still mattered, and if it really [felt] like we had something to say.”
He said the combination of the band, its crew, and heaps of hard work led to putting on a show he’s “really fucking proud of.” Reznor concluded that, for now, the plan is to work on new music, and if the band feels inspired and believes they can beat the Peel It Back tour, they’ll hit the road again.
“What we’re going to do is work on some new music and make some new shit,” he explained. “And if we feel inspired, and if we feel we can beat this [tour], we’ll see you again.”
Is there a chance Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize will revive their collaboration on stage? We’ll have to wait and see – it was a hell of a festival set.
