Things have been oddly quiet on Spilt Milk’s social media accounts since last year’s edition of the festival wrapped.
Today, though, they’ve made it clear: the festival is returning in 2026, but not without a cheeky little teaser first. In the teaser video, punters are asked, “What’s your favourite music festival?”
Answers are cut off as people on the street answer with Beyond The Valley, Knockout, SXSW Sydney, R’n’B Fridays, and more, before a member of the Spilt Milk team mentions “a couple of big one-day festivals,” such as Spilt Milk.
The video then goes to a massive stage before a field of people, fireworks and other pyrotechnics bursting from the top of the stage.
The song in the background sounds like Irish electronic music producer and DJ KETTAMA, who was recently in Australia for the latest editions of Beyond The Valley and Wildlands festivals, plus supported Dom Dolla on his epic Sydney stadium show.
If KETTAMA appears on the line-up, there’s a chance that Spilt Milk is aiming for a more dance-oriented line-up compared to last year’s event.
Last year’s edition of Spilt Milk was more focused on hip-hop. Headlined by the one and only Kendrick Lamar, the festival also featured acts such as Doechii, Sara Landry, Dominic Fike, Schoolboy Q, sombr, Nessa Barrett, Don West, and many others.

Before the festival took over multiple locations in December, festival organisers added Genesis Owusu, Larissa Lambert, and Lotte Gallagher to the line-up.
Spilt Milk’s events in all cities – Ballarat, Perth, Canberra, and the Gold Coast – sold out in advance of the festival’s dates last December. Before the events sold out, festival organisers advised punters that they’d received more pre-sale sign-ups than available tickets. Last year’s event took place after the 2024 festival didn’t go ahead.
Spilt Milk, now a multi-city event, started in Canberra in 2016. It expanded to the Gold Coast and Ballarat in 2019 and then Perth in 2023.
Previous Spilt Milk line-ups boasted international and homegrown talent, including Post Malone, Dom Dolla, Lorde, Flume, Khalid, Lime Cordiale, FISHER, Peach PRC, Latto, and Steve Lacy, to name a few.
