'It's A Demonic Art Form': PNAU's Nick Littlemore On Making Music And Tripping Balls

PREMIERE: Swaré - 'Houston'

Sydney disco pop maestro Swaré, aka Patrick Lewis, has dropped another slick track, this time honing in on “hedonism, partying and knowing when to stop”.

Houston is the fourth single from the emerging artist and sees him go all out.

“To be honest, I wrote this song at the tail end of some pretty serious drug abuse, debauchery and half-baked relationships,” Lewis said.

“And throughout that entire period I had this voice in the back of my head like ‘man, how long are you going to keep this up? You gotta stop soon, surely.

“For me, Houston is that little control centre in your brain saying ‘maybe you should go to bed now’.”

Although Swaré often touches on sombre subjects, he emphasises that his latest single isn’t necessarily a “sad song by any means”; a statement backed up by Houston's classic disco beat, funky bass lines and shimmery vocals.
