Parkway Drive have added four more shows – two in Melbourne and two in Sydney – to their upcoming Killing Horizons tour to meet phenomenal fan demand.

As announced earlier this week, the Byron Bay metalcore outfit is hitting the road this August, celebrating two of their most loved albums, 2005’s Killing with a Smile and 2007’s Horizons, playing both albums in their entirety as well as a bunch of fan favourites.

Stepping back from the arenas of their previous Australian run, Parkway Drive are taking these shows to more intimate venues across the country.

The newly announced shows are taking place at Melbourne’s Forum on Monday, 24 and Tuesday, 25 August, and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Friday, 21 and Saturday, 22 August.

Previously announced shows in both cities have already sold out. Tickets to the extra shows – final dates to be added to the tour – will be available today at 11 am AEST via the Live Nation Australia website. Tickets for the shows in all other cities are now available.

Upon announcing the tour this week, Parkway Drive frontman Winston McCall said, “This idea kicked off when we started working on the KWAS [Killing with a Smile] medley for our last tour. Revisiting Killing with a Smile with a fresh perspective lit a spark that remained after we finished up, so we figured, rather than let the spark die, let’s take it and create something special.

“For all the people who have waited to hear these songs live again, for all the people that never got the chance to see these two albums on stage, for ourselves reconnecting with the core energy at the heart of this band, this tour is for all of us.

“Some of these songs haven’t been played live in over a decade, some have never been played at all. You wanted it, now you got it, so let’s make this moment worth the wait.”
