Black Rat is the sound of the duo starting to turn down the stereo at the end of the night to let people know it’s time to leave. It’s going to be exciting to see what they do for the after-party.

On some tracks it seems apparent they might be playing a bit too fast – on An Enumeration Of Cadavers the drums are so triggered up the guitars get lost – but these minor detractors don’t stop this album from being the best Aborted disc since Goremaggedon.

It’s not punk at all, but that’s fine.

They’re lush, contemplative and challenging.

Their new record is a hydra-headed creature that throws out the stadium stomp of Rob Zombie, lashings of Mötley Crüe in the lead breaks and even a little bit of that Gothenburg melodic death metal sound.
