Acclaimed Swedish-Argentinian singer-songwriter José González returns to Australia and New Zealand in early 2027, following his 2024 run celebrating the 20th anniversary of his beloved album, Veneer.

They continue at Brisbane’s On the Banks series on the Cultural Forecourt, South Bank on Thursday, 25 February, the Sydney Opera House on Saturday, 27 February, and conclude at Melbourne’s Palace Foreshore on Sunday, 28 February.

González returns to Australia while touring in support of his fifth album, Against the Dying of the Light, released earlier this year. The record examines the accelerating development of artificial intelligence, the need for technical responsibility, and other challenges facing humanity.
Featuring his signature fingerpicked guitar and understated vocals, González continues to showcase his distinctive, timeless storytelling. In addition to new songs, audiences can expect evenings of exploring González’s acclaimed catalogue, including beloved tracks like Heartbeats and Crosses.
