TSIM (Not TISM) Promise 'Party To End All Parties' For End Of Tour Show

"It’s going to be frenetic, non-stop-action pub-rock heaven.”

As TISM (or TSIM, as they’re billed on the poster) creep toward the end of their first national trek in 30 years, they’ve warned fans not to miss their end-of-tour party, promising it to be “the end of tour party to end all parties”.

The masked Melbourne musos have been been hard at work on their aptly-titled No Mistakes tour, with punters in Hobart, Canberra, Adelaide, and Brisbane being treated to vastly different sets, while their hometown audience was given a special treat altogether for the final date of their three night local residency.

While shows in Perth and Sydney will follow over the coming week, the group will wrap up their current run with a special date at Wollongong's UOW Uni Bar on Friday, November 6th – with the band's management urging fans not to miss it.

“The band have been having an absolute ball on this tour – they’ve thrown everything into these shows, and into the audience, and they are pummelling through these concerts like a frenzied machine – there’s no-one else putting on shows like this anywhere in the world,” manager David Roy Williams said in a press release issued today.

“The energy these guys display is mesmerising, and the Wollongong Uni Bar show is going to be different again to the current shows – the stage is lower, the barrier closer – it’s going to be frenetic, non-stop-action pub-rock heaven.”

In closing, Williams also included what was dubbed “an obscure ‘60s lyric reference” by stating, “Well I told you once, and I told you twice… my advice is that if you want pure unadulterated TSIM at their rawest, get to the Wollongong Uni Bar show!”

Reviewing the band's first of three hometown dates last week, The Music wrote "It’s obvious that the TISM live experience is one to remember, but it’s equally one that needs to be seen to be believed – largely due to its presentation as an evening of contradictions.

"It's that bizarre mix of high class and low class, it's that immensely communal feeling despite TISM's Brechtian performance style, and it's the belief you've witnessed one of the best bands in the country belting out highly-accomplished choruses and melodies despite a sense that anyone could do what they do.

"But no one can do it to their level. Indeed, TISM are a singular sensation, and no, there are no others like them in the country – or the world – for that matter."
