JAGWAR MA are a relatively new three piece band who were formed by ex-LOST VALENTINOS member Jono Ma and GHOSTWOOD singer Gabriel Winterfield.

Canadian DJ/Producer BLUE VERSION has delivered a super cool, lazy Sunday edit of one of FLUME's most unappriciated album tracks 'What You Need'

But it’s clear there’s no recipe here. These guys are way out on the ledge, discovering it as they go.

Thankfully there’s not a lot of unnecessary diversity amongst the tracks – it’s what makes the album so compelling.

Whilst running a little short with just nine tracks, it does leave you satisfied yet wanting more, but not yearning to move onto the next band revitalising the genre.

You can hear Mikey Young and Tom Lyngcoln’s influences in the production, but the Melbourne band is inherently a quivering mass of sweat, fear, tension and fetid brilliance.

Find a new favourite tune (we recommend Blackrock’s Black Rock Yeah Yeah) or relive an old favourite (maybe Buddy Guy & Junior Wells’ Messin’ With The Kid?) and be ready to change your mind about what you consider blues to be.

There is only one problem with this album, being that Lieb and Fujimoto have already parted ways.
