There are musicians, and then there are performers - Colin Hay is inarguably the latter, and is no doubt becoming more refined with age.

Start the Party is certainly nothing original, but it has the ability to produce a happy ambiance, the kind that gets everyone up to mindlessly sing along, dance around and P.A.R.T.Y.

The more slow, downhearted songs focus more on the emotion contained in each lyric, rather than building emotion through the highs and lows of the pocket-sized orchestra exploding through the speakers.

Just give it a while to marinate in those good ol’ juices of time.

Russell is a versatile artist, and To Dust is the best vehicle yet for her unique, foreign and yet familiar sound.

Another hour and local lads Husky emerge and head straight into Tidal Wave. It could just be the cool breeze, but the song gives me tingles.
